Abstract
In recent years, despite the predictions of many theorists of sociology and political science, including theorists in the field of modernization, ethnicity and nationalism have gained more intensity and new life. The current research was conducted with the purpose of designing a model for explaining the factors affecting ethnocentrism directed at social media in Iran with a meta-composite approach. For this purpose, a meta-composite approach were used. The studied documents were collected by searching the keywords related to ethnocentrism and social media in the period between 1392 and 1402 in Civilica, SID, and Magiran databases. The results showed that by examining 40 articles out of 1029 initial articles, various dimensions and components were identified as effective factors of ethnocentrism in various domestic researches. The results showed that the factors affecting ethnocentrism include individual, media, social factors, lifestyle, culture, spiritual-belief, emotional, situational factors, knowledge/informational factors, strategic factors. It is concluded that based on various researches, there are many different factors that play a role in ethnocentrism, and by identifying these factors, it is possible to identify and inform about the factors of ethnocentrism and to provide some kind of security.
