Abstract
This article is an attempt to understand the transformation of the perceptual space of Iranian society through the medium of cinema (a case study of the movie City of Rats One and Two). The perceptual atmosphere of Iranian society has undergone transformations in the field of political thinking and politics in the decades after the revolution. A transformation that can be referred to as the transition from the politics of liberation to the politics of life. By reviewing, developing, restricting and limiting the opinions of Anthony Giddens and Alan Thorn, we will clarify the concept of the politics of liberation and the politics of life in political literature. And then, on two levels, firstly, the internal analysis of two films, City of Rats One and Two, with the method of analyzing the narrative of Grimas, and secondly, the external analysis of the film, we will deal with the relationship between the film and the socio-political atmosphere of our time. The results of the surveys show that "The City of Rats One in the 60s" in the form of liberation politics and "The City of Two Rats in the 90s" in the form of life policy have devoted efforts to rebuilding the social world of their time.
