Abstract

This article goal is comparative study of cinema economics policymaking in Iran and successful Asian countries and presenting strategies for cinema economics in Iran. Functional, strategic and collaborative benchmarking is used as a method. Benchmarking partners are four Asian countries (South Korea, Japan, China and India) which are in ten top countries of cinema economics. Cinema economics policies of selected countries are compared with Iran' policies on the basis of selected index that are verifies by experts. One of the important results of this article is necessity of a comprehensive policymaking for cultural economics, especially in cinema, because the policymaking in short period does not lead to economic brightness in culture area and cinema economics. Finally strategies of policymaking are presented.
