Usage of the International Professional Journalism Ethic Codes in the IRIB News

Abstract
With the aim of understanding the extent and use of the principles of the international ethics of journalism professionalism in the news sections of 20 news chanel and 20:30 on the Twe chanel of IRIB, the four general principles of fairness and impartiality, minimizing harms, Independence, accuracy and objectivity were examined by 46 ethic codes extracted from 30 countries, analyzed by documentary methods and content analysis and analyzed by the Gateway Theory. The results of the research have shown that the principle of minimizing damage with mean of 2.87 is highest and the principle of independence with mean of 2 is the lowest level of observance. Research findings also show that the principle of minimizing injuries in 69.9% of news is between 50% and 70%, which is more in line with other professional ethics principles. The principle of independence in 100% of the news is between 30% and 50%, and the principle of accuracy and objectivity in 67.6% of news is between 30% and 50%. Fairness and impartiality are also observed in 57.9% of the news between 30% and 50%.
