The aim of this study is to identify and present the efficiency indicators of Iranian news agencies (with emphasis on three news agencies; IRNA, ISNA and Vailna). Qualitative research method and using the foundation data theory technique, data collection method; In-depth interview, theoretical sampling method and data analysis method; Coding (open, central, and selective).
In this research , has been candacted by interviewing with 12 media managers and professors who are axperts and working in meida industry (with executive experience in news agencies and press) and specialists and with scientific-academic rank in the field; Management, media, media management and communication sciences were interviewed. The following results achieved from the self-made questionnaire.
Findings and results showed: four main components; Internal News Agency's Efficiency Criteria, World News Agency's Efficiency Criteria, Internal Factors Affecting Efficiency, External Factors Affecting Efficiency, Challenges (Opportunities and Threats) Agencies Affect Internal News Agency Efficiency .
The component and sub-components of the internal efficiency criteria section of the domestic news agency had the highest frequency and the overall results showed: clear strategy and vision, central audience, skilled manpower and use of technology to reach a news agency to the highest level of efficiency.
