Abstract

The purpose of this study which is done by qualitative content analysis method is the Identify the most significant non-verbal communication of anchor and the function of this non-verbal communication in Provides TV news to the audience. Further the content quality analysis method, Quantitative data is also used for more accurate and objective analysis of the samples studied in the research. The statistical population of research is the news sections of IRINN and BBC Persian that considered as the unit observation and analysis. Among the news at 17:30 on the BBC Persian and 19 news on the IRINN in February 2012 as a sampling framework, selected with randomized and Purposive sampling one statistical week. Based on research, the use of non-verbal communication anchors for close communication with the audience, News credibility and effect news on the audience has a significant role and These communications can be described in three main categories: The View and the Frames of the anchor, The Tone and Voice of the anchor and The Movement of the Head, Hand and Face of the anchor. The research results show BBC Persian anchors than IRINN used more and appropriate non-verbal communication, especially in the Sub categories of close-up, the emphasis of speech, and speaker's head and face movements and IRINN should be careful about the type of viewer's imagery and Have a special basic precision and review in use of types non-verbal communication his anchors in the Performance and News Presenter.
