In nowadays world, crisis is a part of human daily life that can occur anywhere and anytime and usually occurs when it is not expected. Incidents and crises are one of the topics that the media tend to cover. Covering the news of events by a media, it can be said that the reporter present at the location plays the most important role in producing the content and must move within a well-structured framework to move toward the desired goals. The main purpose of this research is to identify the components of journalism of natural crises for the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. In the Conceptual Framework section, framing theory were applied. As well as empirical and theoretical backgrounds were reviewed. Using qualitative method and semi-structured interviewing technique, 13 crisis communication and media professionals with previous experience in critical crisis areas were selected through purposive non-probability sampling. Research data were collected and thematic analysis was used to analyze the data and thematic network method was used. The findings of the study showed that the components of natural crises journalism were categorized into three general phase: pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis. This research consists of 8 global themes including: preparation, policy setting, news priority, content selection, responsibility, image selection, media tracking and identifying factors, as well as 16 organizing themes and 83 basic themes has reached theoretical saturation. The thematic network diagram of the natural crisis journalism for the IRIB was drawn after specifying the themes.
