Abstract
Abstract:
In this study, by analyzing Benjamin's theory of Exhibition value and the main components of Deleuze's rhizomatic theory, photojournalism in the context of social networks was investigated. The importance and necessity of research is due to the emergence of a new technological platform in cyberspace (social networks) in changing the definitions and functions of news photography. The results show that the most important feature of the social network platform for photojournalism is the emergence of the concept of individuality as well as pluralism in order to eliminate the grand narrative. In this space, the photograph experiences the transition of news structures and frameworks, and the representation made by mechanical reproduction of reality somehow confirms the relationship of people to people. In this approach photojournalism does not need written journalism or news agencies, and the relationship between photography and reality is only related to the art and mentality of the photographer. The research method is descriptive-analytical based on library and internet data.
