Abstract
“Natural rights” are the rights that be attributed to a person merely for its “human being” and the necessity to respect the individuality. But the “rights of Situation” is considered for membership in a politically organized community. The purpose of this survey is conducting a comparative study of between “Press” and “IRIB” to promote “civil rights”. The data have been gathered by interview and questionnaire. Statistical population is the Tehran citizens who are over 18 and based on Cochran formula the sample size was 384.
The results show that the general consciousness of citizens about their citizenship rights is above average. Compared with the press, IRIB has no role in promoting civil rights while the press may have a significant role in raising awareness of civil rights.
