Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between national identity and Medias among high-school students of Ahwaz city. This research has been conducted in quantitative method (survey), by the means of questionnaire and Research population is highschool girl students of Ahwaz city. According to Lin table, in 95% confidence level and 4% error; Sample size estimated 600 people. Sampling has been done through the stratified- quota sampling method. In current study national identity has been surveyed in three dimensions consists of: common in-group fate, attraction to the in-group and perception of the intergroup context. According to the results of this survey, from the different kinds of Medias; national T. V, non-Arabic & non-Persian channels of satellite have significant correlation with national identity and all its three dimensions. The findings also show that from Medias, national TV, internal radio, non-Persian sites and non-Arabic & non- Persian channels of satellite confirm the most variance of the variable of national identity. Also, national T. V and internal radio have positive correlation and non-Persian sites and non- Arabic & non-Persian channels of sat have negative correlation with this variable.
