Abstract

Journalism is an ethical profession within its very nature. Journalists are expected to scarify their own benefits in favor of the common good. Therefore, journalism ethics is regarded as one of the most sophisticated branches of professional ethics. This study considers an unethical trend in the Iranian journalism in which big corporations employ journalists to promote their goods and services in -seemingly- impartial reports. Sample was chosen purposive and the respondents were unaware of the aims of the interview. The results reveal that this method is highly common in Iran but the methods to pay the journalist are very complicated, making hard tracking advertorials in Iran.
