Clothing such as language, can be identifed the ethnic, social, and geographical identities and also determine socio-economic status of people. In fact, clothing is as a set of linguistic signs that is material to an understanding of the signs of identity can be used. As a result, evaluation of traditional clothing in a land, as past, present and future, is an important area for researching and will give valuable subjects to apparel designers and manufacturers. Gaba is an original and old Iranian art that has long been used by mens and womens. In this article, we have tried to use the library documents and analytical methods to study the status and importance of gaba in Iran from ancient times to today, in terms of size, style stitching, decorations and its applications in different jobs should be considered. Based on these data, the effects of five basic factors (geographic-continental, cultural-ethnic, lifestyle, the relations with other countries and nationals, socioeconomic conditions of people) on structural patterns and decoratings of gaba has been investigated. پوشاک سنتی یکی از مهمترین میراث فرهنگی می باشد که در ادوار مختلف تاریخی و فرهنگی ایران همواره از اهمیت ویژه ای برخوردار بوده است. لباس همانند زبان می تواند هویت قومی، اجتماعی و جغرافیایی و منزلت اجتماعی و اقتصادی مردم را مشخص کند. در واقع پوشاک مانند مجموعه ای از علایم زبانی مادی می باشد که برای شناخت عمیق یک هویت می توان از آن بهره برد. بنابراین بررسی پوشاک سنتی یک سرزمین در گذشته، حال و آینده کاری شایسته تحقیق و دقت است و می تواند منجر به ایجاد ذهنیت های مناسبی برای طراحان و سازندگان گردد. قبا از جمله پوشاک سنتی اصیل و قدیمی ایران است که از دیرباز توسط زنان و مردان استفاده می شده است. در این مقاله سعی شده است تا با استفاده از مستندات کتابخانه ای و روش تحلیلی و توصیفی به مطالعه قبا در سرزمین ایران از دوران باستان تا قرن حاضر، از لحاظ اندازه، سبک دوخت، تزیینات و موارد کاربرد آن در طبقات مختلف اجتماع، پرداخته شود. بر اساس این داده ها تلاش شد تا تأثیر 5 عامل زمینه ای «جغرافیایی-اقلیمی، فرهنگی-قومی، نحوه زندگی، روابط با کشورها و ملل دیگر و شرایط اقتصادی-اجتماعی مردم» بر الگوهای ساختاری و تزیینات قبا مورد بررسی قرار گیرد. https://www.jcsc.ir/article_35614_ba561070fd6c97936d80734b41ca14a9.pdf
