Euthanasia is considered a cultural and social taboo. People who call for euthanasia are facing problems such as depression and terminal illness, and difficult personal and social conditions. In this article, we use a semiotic approach to compare the way in which "euthanasia" is represented in Iranian and international cinema. The sampling method is purposive and the selected movies are: “Euthanasia” and "The Long Goodbye” from Iran; “You don’t know Jack” from the United States and “sea inside” from Spain. And we have reviewed the selected sequences of films where the theme of Euthanasia is prominent. The findings of the article suggest that in Iran, America, and Spain, "euthanasia" is forbidden religiously and legally, however, in these four films, Euthanasia is represented in four different ways. In the Iranian film "Euthanasia", euthanasia is completely negative. On the opposite side, the American film "You Don't Know Jack" views the subject of "euthanasia" as a fundamental right; and tries to draw a human face from defenders of euthanasia. The Iranian film "The Long Goodbye", by changing its approach to the film "Euthanasia", in a gray look, represents this concept as both positive and negative at the same time, to a large extent subtilize the consonance of rejecting this concept. The Spanish film "sea inside" displays the issue of euthanasia with a humanist and secularist approach and represents it quite positively.}, keywords = {euthanasia,Representation,Semiotics,Cinema}, title_fa = {نشانه شناسی مرگ خودخواسته در سینمای ایران و جهان مطالعۀ تطبیقی فیلم های «اُتانازی»، «تو جک را نمی شناسی»، «خداحافظی طولانی» و «دریای درون»}, abstract_fa = {اُتانازی یا «مرگ خودخواسته»، مُعضلی نوظهور در جهان است که رسانه های جمعی کمتر به آن پرداخته اند. اُتانازی یک تابوی فرهنگی و اجتماعی تلقی می شود. افرادی که خواهان مرگ خودخواسته می شوند درگیر مشکلاتی چون ناامیدی، افسردگی و بیماری لاعلاج و شرایط سخت زندگی فردی و اجتماعی هستند. در این مقاله با استفاده از روش نشانه‌شناسی به مقایسۀ نحوۀ بازنمایی «مرگ خودخواسته» در سینمای ایران و جهان پرداختیم. روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند و فیلم‌های انتخاب شده «اُتانازی» و «خداحافظی طولانی» از ایران، «تو جک را نمی شناسی» از آمریکا و «دریای درون» از اسپانیاست. اگرچه «مرگ خودخواسته» در هر سه کشور سازنده فیلم‌ها به لحاظ قانونی و عرف دینی ممنوع است، با این‌حال یافته‌های مقاله نشان می‌دهد هر یک از چهار فیلم مرگ خودخواسته را به شیوه‌ای کاملاً متفاوت بازنمایی می‌کند. در فیلم ایرانی «اُتانازی»، مرگ خودخواسته امری کاملاً منفی و تخطّی از دستورات و ارادۀ خداوند محسوب می‌شود؛ فیلم ایرانی «خداحافظی طولانی» که ۱۳ سال بعد از «اُتانازی» ساخته شده، با تغییر رویکردی آشکار از نگاهی یکسره منفی به مرگ خودخواسته پرهیز می‌کند؛ در مقابل فیلم آمریکایی «تو جک را نمی شناسی»، مرگ خودخواسته را حقی اساسی برای انسان می‌داند و چهره ای انسانی از مدافعان مرگ خودخواسته ترسیم می‌کند و فیلم اسپانیایی«دریای درون» نیز با قرار دادن مرگ خودخواسته در چارچوبی اومانیستی و سکولاریستی بازنمایی کاملاً مثبتی از این مفهوم به دست می‌دهد.}, keywords_fa = {مرگ خودخواسته,اُتانازی,بازنمایی,نشانه شناسی,سینما}, url = {https://www.jcsc.ir/article_240086.html}, eprint = {https://www.jcsc.ir/article_240086_8943318d9ca5ff1c74679d97705a8c28.pdf} }
